Message from the Chief Constable
I am aware and acknowledge that many of you may be concerned regarding the current situation with the police pension scheme and inconsistency with the production and distribution of Annual Benefit Statements (ABS) and Remediable Service Statements (RSS).
Many of you will be affected in different ways, some by the McCloud remedy, others not. Some will have already received their statement, others not.
Given the financial implications and legislative deadlines, it is understandable that there is confusion and concern with the current position and that many of you will have questions.
You will be aware the police pension scheme for Devon and Cornwall is administered by XPS Group.
As acting Chief Constable and Scheme Manager, I hope the Let's Talk sessions that we have run will be helpful and provide you with support and reassurance.
Acting Chief Constable Jim Colwell
